General

How long until my carpet is dry?

Usually 4–6 hours. Mark’s truck-mounted system removes most of the water as it cleans, and running your A/C or a ceiling fan speeds things up.

Is it safe for my pets and grandkids?

Yes. Mark uses pet-friendly cleaning solutions and hot water extraction, which rinses residue out instead of leaving it behind. During the cleaning, keep pets somewhere they’re comfortable — not every furry friend likes the sound of the equipment or new people in the house. Just let Mark know how you’d like to handle them.

Who will come to my home?

Mark or his son Zachary. Just Call Mark is family-owned and never uses subcontractors. When you call, you talk to Mark, and he stands behind every job.

Are you insured?

Yes. Just Call Mark is fully insured with a $1 million liability policy for every job in your home.

Why hot water extraction instead of other methods?

It’s the method carpet manufacturers recommend — Shaw Industries, the world’s largest, recommends it exclusively. Some people call it steam cleaning, but it’s really very hot water. A truck-mounted unit heats the water hotter, sprays at higher pressure and pulls dirt out with stronger suction than a portable or rental machine, so your carpet comes out cleaner and dries in 4–6 hours.

Pricing & scheduling

How much will it cost?

Mark prices carpet cleaning by the square foot, so the size of your rooms and how soiled the carpet is set the price. As a guide, three rooms usually run $175–$225, before any current special. Other services depend on the job. Quotes are always free: call or send the form with a few details, and Mark will give you an honest price up front, with no surprises on the day.

What areas do you serve?

Ocala, The Villages, Belleview, Dunnellon, Crystal River and Gainesville. If you’re nearby but not listed, call and ask.

What are your hours?

Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm, and Saturday, 10am to 2pm. Closed Sundays.

What if I’m not happy with the results?

Tell Mark. He guarantees the workmanship: he or Zachary will keep cleaning until you’re satisfied.

Before your cleaning

Do I need to move my furniture?

No. Mark moves most furniture and puts it back. Just clear small breakables and anything off the floor.

Should I vacuum first?

It helps, but it isn’t required. Mark pre-treats and cleans either way.

Can pet urine odor really be removed?

In most cases, yes. Simple cleaning never gets rid of it — urine soaks deep, crystallizes and keeps smelling. Mark treats the backing and pad, not just the surface, with odor-removal technology made for it. If a spot needs more than cleaning, he’ll tell you before starting.

Floor care know-how

How often should carpet be cleaned?

Clean on a schedule, not by how it looks. Carpet — wool especially — hides the gritty soil that wears fibers down, and after about six months it’s holding dirt, bacteria, dander, pollen and dust mites. If anyone in the house has allergies or asthma, regular cleaning makes a real difference. Carpet warranties expect it too: Shaw and Mohawk ask for a professional cleaning at least every 18 months, with a receipt as proof.

Why not rent a machine and do it myself?

Improper cleaning can leave carpet worse off than before. Too much soap without proper rinsing turns carpet into a dirt magnet, and a slow dry time invites mold. Rental machines can’t match a truck-mount’s heat or suction.

Will hot water or “steam” damage my carpet?

Not when it’s done right. What hurts carpet is water left behind, soap that isn’t rinsed out, and slow drying. Hot water extraction rinses the carpet and pulls the water right back out, which is why carpet makers recommend it: Shaw recommends it exclusively, and Mohawk’s warranty names it. Most carpets are dry in 4–6 hours.

Why does my grout keep getting darker?

Every time you mop, you push dirty water into the grout. Mark cleans it out and can seal it against future staining. Also skip oil soaps and pine cleaners — they leave a film on tile, stone, wood and laminate that grabs and holds soil.

Should I try to get a stain out myself first?

Blot it with a clean white towel, but go easy — it’s far too easy to ruin a beautiful carpet scrubbing at a stain with the wrong product. Mark safely removes stains most people have given up on.

My hardwood looks dull and hazy. Does it need refinishing?

Often not. Most hardwood eventually needs old wax and grime buildup removed, and the species and finish determine the right way to do it. A wash and buff — or a dustless screen & recoat — can bring the shine back for a fraction of the cost of refinishing or replacing.

What should I do after a leak or water damage?

Call quickly. The key is finding all the moisture and drying it out — otherwise mold follows. You’ll rarely find it all yourself, but Mark can, wherever it’s hiding.

Can cleaning help with allergies?

Yes. Carpets, upholstery and mattresses trap pollen, dander, dust mites and smoke residue. A thorough cleaning in each room removes them, and humidity control and HEPA filtering help too. Mark is happy to share everyday tips while he’s there.
