Carpet Cleaning

Mark pre-treats traffic lanes and spots, then rinses deep into the fibers with a truck-mounted hot water extraction system — the method Shaw Industries, the world's largest carpet maker, recommends. The machine stays outside in the truck, and only the hose comes in, so your home stays quiet and cool. He cleans every fiber type and construction: nylon, wool, cut pile, berber and woven. Carpet is priced by the square foot, and three rooms usually run $175–$225, before any current special.

What customers say.

All reviews
  • “Professional, personable, and easy to schedule. I called because of messes from dogs, plus mechanic grease on the carpet. The carpet looks amazing… literally every stain was gone, which exceeded my expectations. More importantly, Mark educated me that cleanliness and making sure my carpets are sanitary is the main concern. Now I can sleep easy and allergy free. Thanks Mark!”

FAQ

Questions about carpet cleaning.

See all FAQs

How long until my carpet is dry?

Usually 4–6 hours. Mark’s truck-mounted system removes most of the water as it cleans, and running your A/C or a ceiling fan speeds things up.

Why hot water extraction instead of other methods?

It’s the method carpet manufacturers recommend — Shaw Industries, the world’s largest, recommends it exclusively. Some people call it steam cleaning, but it’s really very hot water. A truck-mounted unit heats the water hotter, sprays at higher pressure and pulls dirt out with stronger suction than a portable or rental machine, so your carpet comes out cleaner and dries in 4–6 hours.

Do I need to move my furniture?

No. Mark moves most furniture and puts it back. Just clear small breakables and anything off the floor.

Can pet urine odor really be removed?

In most cases, yes. Simple cleaning never gets rid of it — urine soaks deep, crystallizes and keeps smelling. Mark treats the backing and pad, not just the surface, with odor-removal technology made for it. If a spot needs more than cleaning, he’ll tell you before starting.

How often should carpet be cleaned?

Clean on a schedule, not by how it looks. Carpet — wool especially — hides the gritty soil that wears fibers down, and after about six months it’s holding dirt, bacteria, dander, pollen and dust mites. If anyone in the house has allergies or asthma, regular cleaning makes a real difference. Carpet warranties expect it too: Shaw and Mohawk ask for a professional cleaning at least every 18 months, with a receipt as proof.
